Finnair offering new business class option
Finnair has announced that it is offering a new business class option on its Airbus A330 aircraft.
The airline recently received its fifth A330, which has been equipped with a business class seat that reclines to a fully horizontal position.
A new layout has also been designed for the plane, reportedly offering more privacy.
Markku Remes, Finnair's customer experience development manager, said: "The seats have been arranged so that nearly 90 per cent of passengers have direct access to an aisle.
"The cabin also has more storage space for hand baggage and clothing."
Finnair is currently modernising its long-haul fleet with the aim of reducing its carbon dioxide emissions.
Five new Airbus A330s have been delivered to the company in the past year.
Christer Haglund, the carrier's senior vice-president of communications, said the new aircraft and enhanced service also reflect the recent increase in business travel between Europe and Asia.
Finnair is currently using the A330 on flights to New York, Delhi, Seoul and Nagoya.
