Aer Lingus announces biggest sale

Aer Lingus has announced the launch of a major sale today (December 23rd).

The airline described the promotion as a "shot in the arm for time-poor bargain hunters" who want to arrange a holiday and enjoy some relaxation after the stressful Christmas period.

Low fares will be available to all of Aer Lingus' 13 destinations from Gatwick Airport, including Dublin, Faro, Lanzarote, Munich and Vilnius.

Customers can take advantage of the sale if they book before midnight on January 18th and travel between January 6th and March 24th.

Aer Lingus has also recently launched a gift voucher promotion in time for the Christmas period.

Enda Corneille, the airline's corporate affairs director, said: "With such great value fares available in our January sale, coupled with an exciting choice of sun, ski and city break destinations, the Aer Lingus gift voucher makes the perfect last-minute Christmas gift.

"In the days leading up to Christmas, we predict we'll see an even greater demand - supported by the last-minute Christmas rush and our biggest January sale."

The carrier reported a rise in the number of people catching flights to Lanzarote this month as travellers sought to try their luck in 'El Gordo', the island's annual Christmas lottery.
