Improved visitor centre opened in Chicago
The Chicago Office of Tourism has completed improvements to the Water Works visitor centre along the city's Magnificent Mile.
Located across the street from the famous Water Tower, the centre is described as the "perfect spot" for the city's 44 million annual visitors to find information and tools to enhance their trip.
Tourists can browse through maps and brochures providing details on events, attractions and tours on offer throughout Chicago.
The centre is also home to Hot Tix, which offers half-price tickets for more than 300 theatres in the area.
Visitors who want to learn more about their destination can head to the Chicago Public Library, while those who want a rest can stop off at the First Slice Pie Cafe.
Chicago Office of Tourism director Dorothy Coyle said: "As Chicago grows in popularity as a major destination, this enhanced visitor centre allows us to continue to provide excellent service to our many visitors from around the world.
"The new tenants - First Slice Cafe and the Chicago Public Library - offer new opportunities for visitors and locals alike to experience the very best of our city."
Flights to Chicago are available with several carriers, including American Airlines, Delta Airlines and KLM.
