NYC Restaurant Week 'to be bigger than ever'
The winter 2010 instalment of NYC Restaurant Week will feature more than 260 participating restaurants, representing the largest dining programme since the event began in 1992.
NYC & Company, the marketing organisation that represents New York City, announced that there will be several new additions this year, along with a number of returning restaurants.
One of the new elements is the NYC Restaurant Week Truck, which will drive through Manhattan and serve gourmet soup provided by some of the event's participating establishments.
Popular eateries that will once again be taking part this year include The Sea Grill, Delmonico's Steakhouse and Tribeca Grill.
George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Company, said: "In its 19th year, NYC Restaurant Week continues to evolve while remaining accessible and affordable for New York City residents and visitors.
"The programme's expansion is a testament to the value and success of the dining event, which continues to be well received season after season."
Running from January 25th to February 7th this year, the event will allow New York visitors to enjoy three-course lunches for a fixed price of $24.07 (£15) and full dinners for $35.
