Fans of rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley might fancy arranging a trip to the province of Ontario in
Canada this summer to attend a festival celebrating the star.
According to Ontario Tourism, this year's Collingwood Elvis Festival will be "more spectacular than ever before" to mark the fact that 2010 represents the 75th anniversary of Presley's birth.
The event will take place in the town of Collingwood, not far north of
Toronto, between July 22nd and 25th.
Highlights of the festival will include a series of
Las Vegas-style shows by some of the world's leading Elvis tribute acts, who will be competing for the title of Collingwood Elvis Festival 'grand champion'.
More than 70,000 visitors are expected to descend on the town for the celebration, which will include plenty of 75th birthday tributes to the iconic performer, good food, live music and family entertainment.
Flights to Toronto, the capital of Ontario, are available with a number of carriers, including
Air Canada,
American Airlines and
Air Transat.
