Australia prepares for annual events
Travellers will be able to experience some of the culture and cuisine of Australia as the country hosts some major events over the coming months.
One of the most high-profile occasions will be the Food and Wine Festival in Melbourne, which will run from March 12th to 23rd.
Described by Tourism Australia as an "opulent tasting extravaganza", the festival will bring together over 250 events catering to food and wine lovers in Victoria's capital city.
Chefs including Neil Perry, Nobu Matsuhisa and Matt Skinner have agreed to participate in the Food and Wine Festival, along with the UK's own Jamie Oliver.
The eyes of Australia's arts scene will be on Perth between February 5th and March 1st this year.
A number of free events will be arranged during the Perth International Arts Festival, which celebrates everything from cinema and literature to opera and theatre.
Several major airlines fly to big Australian cities such as Melbourne and Perth, including Qantas, Qatar Airways and Cathay Pacific.
