Edward Hopper exhibition to open in Rome
Travellers planning a city break in Rome later this year might be interested in visiting an exhibition celebrating one of America's greatest 20th century painters.
A display of work by Edward Hopper will open at the Museo del Corso on February 16th and run until June 13th.
Hopper is well-known for his evocative depictions of the daily life of modern man, which often represent themes such as isolation and loneliness.
The exhibition in Rome will feature about 160 pieces, including Summer Interior, Morning Sun, Pennsylvania Coal Town and other well-known works.
As part of a tour of Italy, it will come to the capital city following its current run in Milan's Palazzo Reale, which will come to an end on January 31st.
The show was arranged by Italian cultural authorities in collaboration with the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
People who would like to see some of Hopper's paintings can catch flights to Rome with Alitalia, British Airways, Swiss and other carriers.
