Air Canada to offer more US flights
Travellers planning a trip to the US this year will be able to choose from a wider range of flights with Air Canada from its hub in Toronto.
The airline announced that its summer schedule will feature services to seven new destinations in America - Santa Ana and San Diego, California; Portland, Oregon; Memphis, Tennessee; Cincinnati, Ohio; Portland, Maine and Syracuse, New York.
All of the routes will operate on a daily basis and will be scheduled to allow connections with flights on Air Canada's international and domestic network.
Ben Smith, the airline's executive vice-president and chief commercial officer, said: "This additional service to seven more US cities further solidifies Air Canada's position as the leading trans-border carrier between Canada and the US and the number one foreign carrier flying to the United States."
Mr Smith went on to underline Air Canada's aim to turn Toronto into a leading global transfer point for all travellers.
The airline will also be expanding its international network this summer with the launch of new flights to Athens, Barcelona, Brussels and Copenhagen.
