Flybe to launch flights from Manchester to Bournemouth
Flybe has announced that it will offer flights to Bournemouth from Manchester Airport from May 27th.
The new route will operate year-round and will feature six weekly services.
Flybe said the connection will provide access to "one of the south coast's most popular destinations" and "one of the most exciting cosmopolitan cities in northern England" for both business and leisure travellers.
Announcing the new route, Mike Rutter, the airline's chief commercial officer, said: "It not only reflects our commitment to continued growth at Manchester Airport, where we are the largest scheduled airline, but also our development into new regions."
Bournemouth Airport managing director Rob Goldsmith said: "At a time when the economy is still struggling we are delighted to welcome Flybe as a new airline at Bournemouth Airport.
"Manchester is one of our most requested destinations and I know that business and leisure travellers alike will be keen to take advantage of this direct link to the north."
The new flights will depart from Manchester at 10:40 and from Bournemouth at 12:05 from Monday to Friday.
Sunday services will leave the north-west at 10:15 and return from the south coast at 11:40.
