British Airways unveils new first class offering
British Airways this week unveiled its new range of product and service offerings for first class passengers.
The carrier has revamped its first class suite to improve comfort and convenience for its premium customers, providing new amenities including a bed that is 60 per cent wider at the shoulders.
In a £100 million overhaul of its service, British Airways will also be offering a personal wardrobe, a 15-inch inflight entertainment screen and adjustable lighting for first class travellers.
The new products were debuted on a Boeing 777 flight to Chicago this week.
Mark Hassell, head of customer experience at British Airways, said the airline's aim was to create an "intimate private jet experience onboard".
He added: "We have resisted gadgets and gimmicks and focused instead on simplicity and quality.
"Every feature has been carefully considered and researched to ensure we are giving our customers what they want."
The carrier launched a campaign featuring actress Rachel Weisz to promote its new first class service.
