New domestic flights from Air Canada
Air Canada has unveiled plans to launch the country's first same-plane service linking Ottawa, Montreal and Regina.
The carrier will begin operating the new non-stop flights from May 17th and will offer the route on a daily basis.
Marcel Forget, vice-president of network planning at Air Canada, said: "This new flight should be popular with business, government and leisure travellers alike as it reduces current travel time by nearly two hours when compared to connecting over other routings."
He added: "Air Canada's new flights between Regina and Ottawa will complement [our] current schedule of three daily flights from Regina to Toronto."
The new flights will depart Regina at 6:55, arrive in Ottawa at 11:45, from where it will continue on to Montreal at 12:15.
On the return journey, services will take off from Montreal at 17:50, land in Ottawa at 18:37, before travelling on to Regina at 19:00. All times are local.
Services are to be run by Air Canada's regional partner, Jazz Air, on Bombardier 205 jet aircraft, which have a 75-seat capacity and offer both economy and executive class cabins.
