New Holiday Inn opens at Walt Disney World Florida
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened a new Holiday Inn property at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
The 14-storey, 323-room property is located on Hotel Plaza Boulevard at the US resort and has been introduced as part of IHG's $1 billion (£646 million) makeover of its Holiday Inn brand.
Guests will be provided with facilities including a 32-inch television, complimentary wireless internet access and an individual coffeemaker in each room.
There are also a number of additional services to improve visitors' holiday experiences, including free transportation to Walt Disney World theme parks, guaranteed access at golf courses and advance bookings at restaurants.
Tony Johnson, general manager of the new hotel, said: "There is no more exhilarating feeling than opening a family-friendly Holiday Inn resort on Disney property and hiring more than 100 employees to welcome our community and guests.
"Our opening could not come at a better time, with a brand that customers know and trust. Being on Disney property and maintaining high standards will assure we achieve the highest marks possible from our customers and our industry."
Families planning a holiday in Florida this year can catch flights to Orlando with United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, KLM and other carriers.
