American Airlines to launch Manchester to New York flights
American Airlines has announced that it will expand its international network this year with the launch of flights from Manchester Airport to New York.
The daily service to John F Kennedy Airport in New York will get underway on May 13th and will use a Boeing 757 aircraft.
American Airlines also announced that it would be launching flights from the US hub to San Jose in Costa Rica and Madrid in Spain, which will get underway on April 6th and May 1st respectively.
Jim Carter, vice-president of the carrier's eastern sales division, said: "We're excited to add these three great destinations to our schedule.
"These new flights are perfect additions to our sparkling, state-of-the-art JFK terminal - a major international gateway that provides best-in-class service and amenities for our premium and coach customers from our New York hub."
The changes will boost American Airlines' total number of international destinations served from New York to 31, a network that includes nine locations in Europe, three in Canada and 18 in the Caribbean, Atlantic and Latin America regions.
