Orlando Tourism Bureau offers money-saving tips

Travellers have been offered some advice on how they can save money during a trip to Orlando, Florida this year.

The city's tourist board revealed that there will be plenty of opportunities for visitors to cut back on their spending through initiatives such as the Orlando Magicard scheme.

Cards can be downloaded for free from the organisation's official website, giving travellers the opportunity to receive discounts at local attractions, restaurants, golf courses and cultural venues.

Also available online is a run-down of the free events and activities on offer to people planning family holidays in Orlando.

Several dining establishments in the city offer 'kids eat free' promotions, while luxury stores and designer outlets often run sales and discount schemes during the holiday season.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is set to open at Universal Studios this spring, providing another attraction for families in Florida.

Flights to Orlando are available with United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and other carriers.
