Sonar festival to return to Barcelona
People with a passion for dance, hip hop, electronica and other contemporary music genres will be booking their flights to Barcelona soon to visit this year's Sonar festival.
The popular event will be returning from June 17th to 19th this year.
Sonar features a combination of daytime and evening activities and performances, with the earlier events taking place at the CCCB and Macba venues and the night-time shows being staged at L'Auditori and Fira Gran Via.
Headline acts already confirmed for the 2010 festival include the Chemical Brothers, Dizzee Rascal, Air, LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip.
Fans of Mary Anne Hobbs will be interested in a section presented by the Radio 1 DJ, which will feature appearances from Flying Lotus, Roska and other artists.
The 2009 outing of Sonar in Barcelona attracted some 75,000 visitors, who were treated to performances by the likes of Orbital, Grace Jones and Animal Collective.
