Flybe promotes flights to France
Flybe has promoted its flights to France ahead of a planned strike by cabin crew staff working for Air France.
The UK-based airline stated that it operates more routes to regional parts of the country than any other carrier and will provide "reliable travel options" for people who could be affected by the industrial action.
Air France cabin crew have called for a strike this month to show solidarity with their counterparts at British Airways, who are planning a total of seven days' industrial action.
Flybe revealed that it will be operating flights to Avignon, La Rochelle, Paris and other destinations from UK bases including Southampton Airport, Manchester Airport and Birmingham Airport during the strike periods.
The airline said that it has already seen a "groundswell of booking interest" in the services it offers to 14 locations in the UK and France.
Chief commercial officer Mike Rutter said: "Our established reputation in serving regional France is obviously being viewed as a reliable and great value alternative in light of the threatened industrial action, being widely reported as called for between March 28th [and] March 31st."
