South Australia tourist board offers tips for Adelaide visitors
The South Australia Tourism Commission has released a list of the attractions and experiences travellers should not miss out on during a trip to Adelaide.
Many of the city's most popular sites are located in the North Terrace district, including the Botanic Gardens, which are home to a collection of rare plants, lakes and heritage buildings.
The area is also home to some of Adelaide's top cultural venues, including the Art Gallery of South Australia - which boasts the largest collection of Rodin sculptures in the southern hemisphere - and the South Australian Museum.
Sports fans might be interested in paying a visit to the Adelaide Oval, which offers tours of the ground and a museum housing an archive of memorabilia relating to Australian cricket legend Donald Bradman.
The South Australia Tourism Commission also highlighted some locations for people planning to try the local cuisine, with Gouger, Rundle and Hindley streets all coming recommended.
Flights to Adelaide are available with a number of carriers, including Qantas, Cathay Pacific and Malaysia Airlines.
