Flybe to introduce 24 new routes for summer
Flybe has revealed that its 2010 summer schedule, which got underway yesterday (March 28th), will feature a total of 24 new routes.
The regional airline expects to operate up to 3,850 services a week and will offer some eight million seats to summer travellers.
Highlights of the updated schedule include the introduction of new flights to Limoges from Gatwick Airport, Hanover from Newcastle Airport and Verona from Southampton Airport.
A number of Flybe's popular routes will be returning this summer, including its flights to Jersey from Aberdeen Airport and Belfast City Airport, as well as services to La Rochelle from Glasgow Airport and Birmingham Airport.
Mike Rutter, the airline's chief commercial officer, said: "Despite industry challenges over the past year, we are delighted to be offering passengers the choice of 190 routes this summer and to [be] providing affordable quality flights to the widest possible range of desirable destinations."
He went on to reveal that the carrier has seen a return in business traffic over the last six months.
