Primavera Sound takes over Barcelona

Visitors to Barcelona might be interested in catching their favourite act as a host of musicians take to the stage at the Primavera Sound 2010 at the Parc del Forum.

From May 27th-29th, the city will come alive as the festival celebrates its tenth year.

The vast line-up includes some of the nation's most popular artists as well as lesser-known ones.

Headlining the event on May 29th will be UK act Pet Shop Boys, taking their Pandemonium tour to the Barcelona stage.

Music fans will also be able to see Florence and the Machine who will play hits from their Brit award winning album Lungs on the closing day of the festival.

Other artists include US bands Wilco and Pixies, the latter of which made their comeback in Spain in 2004. They will be wowing audiences on May 28th.

Away from the music, visitors to Barcelona can soak up some sea air on the beach or take a stroll through Parc Guell, which offers stunning views over the city.
