V Australia and Virgin America in partnership
V Australia and Virgin Blue have announced that they have entered into a new frequent flyer partnership with Virgin America.
The deal means that passengers on any of the carriers can earn frequent flier points when they travel on one of the others.
Credit gained during these trips will then be redeemable on any of the other airlines.
Brett Godfrey, co-founder and chief executive of Virgin Blue Airlines, said that the new deal will benefit passengers of all three carriers.
"Our aim is to encourage more travellers from throughout the US and from our part of the world to plan their trans-Pacific travel with our growing airline family," he added.
V Australia is part of Virgin Blue Group and is the second largest domestic carrier in Australia at the moment. Virgin America, meanwhile, was launched in the US in 2007 and has since become one of the fastest growing airlines in the country.
Passengers can travel from Aberdeen to Los Angeles with Virgin.
