Virgin launches flights to Las Vegas
Virgin Atlantic has announced this week that it will operate a new route from Manchester to Las Vegas next year.
From April 3rd 2011, passengers can expect to have an increased service to the US destination, with twice-weekly services from the northern city.
This will make up nine weekly flights to Las Vegas from UK airports by the airline, including a daily service from London Gatwick, which was launched in 2000.
There will also be 58 Premium Economy seats with priority check-in, for travellers looking to have a bit more luxury for the long-haul flight.
Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, commented: "This is another evolution in a partnership that has flourished since its inception a decade ago.
"Virgin Atlantic's new service into Las Vegas from Manchester is indicative of its long-term confidence in the Las Vegas brand and will provide even more British travellers the accessibility to visit the entertainment capital of the world."
The airline also operates services from Manchester to Orlando, Florida and to Barbados.
