California parks to boast new attractions this year
People planning holidays in the US this year might want to pay a visit to the state of California to try out some of its newest attractions.
One of the major new rides set to begin operating in the region is King Kong 360 3D at Universal Studios in Hollywood.
Created by Oscar-winning director Peter Jackson, the attraction provides visitors with 3D glasses and takes them on an immersive journey through the jungle, during which they will encounter dinosaurs and King Kong himself.
Also due to open this year is the Blue Horizons dolphin show at SeaWorld San Diego, while Legoland California will launch the world's first Lego-themed water park.
Caroline Beteta, president of the California Travel and Tourism Commission, said: "For many travellers, visiting California's theme parks and attractions is a dream come true. And with parks always offering something new, we know they'll come back."
Travellers planning to visit California can take flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco and other cities.
