EasyJet launches flights from Doncaster-Sheffield Airport
EasyJet expanded its network of services from the UK last week with the launch of flights from Doncaster-Sheffield Airport.
The carrier began flying from the base on April 22nd, after its plans to start operations earlier in the week were disrupted by the closure of British airspace following the volcanic eruption in Iceland.
Travellers can now catch easyJet flights to Amsterdam, Prague, Barcelona, Faro and Majorca from Doncaster.
Ali Gayward, easyJet's commercial manager, said the carrier is "committed to expansion across the UK regions" and is now the largest airline in the north of England.
"This means we can provide greater access to our famously low fares and convenient services from your local airport," she added.
"In addition, we're looking to develop the inbound market, highlighting Yorkshire as a destination to Europeans, helping to bring even greater investment to the local economy."
EasyJet will operate 21 weekly departures on its new routes, which have been chosen to offer a range of city break, sun holiday and business travel opportunities.
