San Diego to offer new attractions this summer
Travellers visiting the city of San Diego in the US this summer will be able to try out some of the destination's newest attractions and experiences.
New family shows set to open this year include the Blue Horizons display at SeaWorld San Diego, which will feature bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales, as well as exotic birds and acrobatic performers.
An improved stage and sound system are being installed in preparation for the opening of the show on May 29th, along with high-tech water features and 700 additional guest seats.
Families visiting San Diego this summer can also head to Legoland California in Carlsbad from June to explore the world's first Lego-themed water park.
The attraction will include a six-person raft slide, a lazy river, hands-on toddler areas and climbing structures.
A number of new shark-themed shows will be introduced at the Sea Life Aquarium this year, while San Diego Zoo recently opened an interactive exhibit offering visitors a close look at polar bears.
Continental Airlines, KLM and British Airways are among the carriers currently operating flights to San Diego.
