Luxury Accommodation Revealed for Peruvian Surfers
Chicama beach in Peru is a popular location for surfing
Whilst the bronzed, blonde, couch surfing iconic idea of surfers may prevail, it has been revealed that Peru is making a bid to increase interest in one of the top surfing spots in the world. Known for its huge waves in a peaceful and idyllic spot, the legendary surf and beach location of Chicama has become renowned within the industry. But with its location being slightly off the beaten track until now accommodation along the beach has been more rustic than luxurious.
However, now in a bid to increase the attraction of the waves to more than just the die-hard surf fans, a number of new hotels such as Buen Abrigo Hotel have emerged as luxurious destinations in which to relax after a day on the waves. Dedicated and aimed specifically at those travelling to Peru to enjoy the surfing sport the Buen Abrigo offers a boat service to take customers out to the best surfing "point". Meanwhile they provide rental space and store for surfboards whilst those learning the sport can benefit from the hotels lessons for both children and adults.
An increased interest in promoting such hotspots comes at a time when travellers around the globe are looking for more exciting, exhilarating and adventurous countries to visit. With South America easily accessible from Britain with direct flights to Lima available from Birmingham, Manchester and London Heathrow, the continent is increasingly becoming a popular attraction for those looking for a holiday of a lifetime. And with the Buen Abrigo opening a whole new sporting interest to visitors those who like to surf the waves by day can now revel in luxurious settings by night.
