Flights to New York Set to Trend as American Tennis Season Looms
The U.S Open begins on August 30th
With the third major tennis tournament of the year currently underway, excited tennis fans may be looking for an opportunity to attend the last of the big four. With Wimbledon's second week already heading to a close and the U.S Open due to begin on the 30th August, New York flights are likely to see a surge as eager individuals try to book a place at the championship.
Like many other years, the tennis season has once again proved to be enthralling and exciting this year, with top seeds spinning out of control and some of the younger generation pushing their way into the top 20 rankings. And with New York's Flushing Meadows tournament the last Grand Slam of the year, fans are often eager to get hold of tickets in an attempt to see their sporting heroes. Beginning on August 30th when the players begin their bid for one of the most prestigious tennis prizes, the tournament continues for two weeks until the culmination of the ladies and gentleman's single matches on the 11th and 12th of September respectively.
Located in the New York borough of Queens, trips to the tennis coincide with the state's scorching summer, with visitors able to discover the region's beautiful beaches and some of New York City's most iconic landmarks whilst they're there.
