Airline Introduces iPad Application for Flights

The new Cathay Pacific app for the iPad allows customers to manage their bookings and receive up to date information regarding their flight.

Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong's leading air carrier, has revealed that an a new app developed for the iPad will provide passengers with a host of new services. Now available in the Apple App store, the CX Mobile software can be downloaded for free and provides a wide range of services to current and prospective flyers.

The app will provide all the services that their current iPhone app already allows, but with additional features. Cathay Pacific revealed that they were continuing to look at ways to improve customer services and bring the airline into the modern era. The app allows customers to manage bookings and receive up to date information on flight schedules, and also allows users to check-in. A link included within the software can be utilised, which directs users to information with the Marco Polo Club and allows travellers to browse through over 70 destination and city guides, providing a unique opportunity for individuals to explore potential travel hotspots while managing their flights.

Flying from British cities including Edinburgh and London Heathrow, Cathay Pacific offers a large range of global routes in its portfolio. Heralding its fantastic staff the company has even included a 'Meet the Team' section for the iPad, allowing inquisitive flyers to discover more about their hosts. Speaking of the new App development, general marketing manager at Cathay Pacific, James Ginns, said "Cathay Pacific has been working hard on developing its mobile services," adding that the firm was 'delighted' to be offering more options to its passengers. With customer simplicity and ease already a large attraction for many travellers, the technologically-savvy of the world are likely to eagerly lap up Cathay's latest offering.
