Iconic Cape Town Hotel and Spa Opens its Doors
The hotel is located just ten minutes from the popular Victoria and Alfred Waterfront harbour
As South Africa attempts to hold on to the legacy of the recent FIFA World Cup championships, it has been revealed that the Vineyard Hotel & Spa will open its iconic gardens to the public. Offering an added incentive for those wishing to visit Cape Town in light of its recent and positive image change, the hotel will provide visitors tea and a guided tour of its famous grounds.
The garden was designed and established by the globally renowned Ann Sutton and tourists will now have the chance to experience the garden's landscaped plants, medicinal herbs, various wild birds as well as its famed tortoises - Herbert and Gloria. The Vineyard Hotel and Spa has since announced formal walks followed by morning or afternoon tea in the lounge and patio. Available for both large groups of up to 15 and individuals who simply want to explore and learn more of the spectacular environment, the walks will no doubt attract both guests of the hotel and tourists from further afield.
The move comes as South Africa attempts to build on the foundations that the FIFA World Cup provided and continue to showcase the country as an attractive tourist destination. An increasing number of companies, including South African Airways and Qatar, provide flights to the city, and with classes ranging from economy and premium economy up to business class, seats can be gained at any affordability. Meanwhile, with the iconic vineyard grounds now offering tours and luxurious teas, an additional charm of the Cape is open to holidaymakers.
