Cheap Hotel Rates to Encourage Visits to Delhi
The India Gate, located in Delhi commemorates the soldiers who lost their lives during World War I
It has been revealed that hotels across Delhi are looking at slashing their hotel room prices in a bid to attract customers. Bad press surrounding the Commonwealth Games, and a lack of increased custom, could result in many tourists looking to explore the city finding significantly reduced prices this winter.
Whilst the city often increases room charges at this time of year as the winter tourist season starts, reports of being ill-prepared for the forthcoming games have put many tourists, and athletes, off attending. However, such a move may well prove beneficial for tourists wanting to visit the city. With hotel managers expressing that they "are chasing every booking", visitors to India could be set to pay reduced rates on their rooms, allowing for cheaper holidays and more cash to spend on luxurious day trips and experiences.
Renowned for its hustle and bustle, there are a multitude of sights for those travelling in the city. A vibrant performing arts scene can be discovered if tourists delve deep enough, while ancient monuments and museums are scattered throughout. Meanwhile, with a multitude of cultures and foreign tongues, the two distinct 'old' and 'new' regions offer an eclectic mix of sights and sounds.
A remarkable number of flights are available to Delhi, in economy, premium economy and business classes. Allowing for differing affordability's, and with London Heathrow offering a range of airlines to fly with including Aeroflot, Virgin Atlantic and Etihad, now could be the perfect time to take advantage of slashed hotel prices.
