Dreamliner Details Revealed by Continental

Continental Airlines have ordered 25 Dreamliners to date

With much speculation surrounding the airline industry's new Dreamliner jet, Continental Airlines has revealed more details of the elusive aircraft. Having already ordered 25 of the new Boeing 787 Aircrafts, the airline spoke at the 2010 National Business Travel Association International Convention & Expo and gave an insight into the experiences that First and Business class passengers can expect.

More economical and environmentally friendly than previous Boeing aircraft, the Dreamliner's design increases not only the overall efficiency of such aircraft, but also speed and flying distance. Continental, the first American airline to receive the new aircraft which will fly from a number of British airports including Manchester and London Heathrow, will provide 36 First Class and Business Class flat beds in addition to 192 economy seats.

Architecturally, the Dreamliner will feel more spacious to passengers than standard aircraft, with larger luggage bins allowing for bags to be easily stowed away. Large windows allow views that many travellers are unlikely to have witnessed whilst in flight, while electro chromatic shades will provide fliers the opportunity to dim the light without spoiling the passing scenery.

Cabin air will also be cleaner, with increased humidity to stop the dryness often associated with air conditioned flight. Lower cabin noise, and cabin illuminations to simulate the sky will also help to ease an often strenuous journey for fliers.

Expected to be delivered to Continental Airlines by the end of 2011, business passengers and first class travellers will benefit tremendously from the technological advances of the new Boeing 787 aircraft.
