Increased Free Upgrades with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic
In a recent survey 42 per cent of those who had flown with British Airways said that they had received a free upgrade to either Business or First Class
A newly published survey has revealed that the chances of being upgraded to business class and first class seats with Virgin Atlantic and British Airways has increased. With both airlines looking to fill available seats, the possibility of experiencing a luxurious flight at no extra cost is more likely than ever.
In the survey passengers were asked if they had received an upgrade and if so, with what airline. Of those who had been upgraded for free, 42per cent revealed that they had flown with British Airways. Meanwhile, those receiving a welcome bump up in class with Virgin Atlantic accounted for 17per cent of those asked, with American Airlines coming in third place with 8per cent.
Such an added attraction is almost certainly likely to draw customers towards these prominent airlines in the hopes of receiving an upgrade to fly in the lap of luxury.
The news comes as premium economy and business class seats continue to note gains in popularity. With airlines across the sector investing heavily in new cabin classes on planes, it is no wonder that many passengers aspire to pampering themselves a little during flights. And with Virgin Atlantic and British Airways are the forefront of providing outstanding business class services, travellers can expect the finest foods, best entertainment, and most luxurious service in the industry.
