Temples of Thailand

Wat Pho Temple is older than Bangkok itself and serves as home to Reclining Buddha, while Wat Phra That Lampang Luang offers a beautiful example of a fortress monastery.  Wat Pra Kaew is home to the most sacred of Buddha's representations, the Emerald Buddha. Wat Traimit houses the Golden Buddha, which is made of pure gold. The Golden Buddha was actually 'lost' in plain sight for centuries, encased in plaster to hide its value from 18th century invading armies only to be rediscovered in the 1950s.

Markets of Thailand

Bangkok and Chiang Mai are home to some of Thailand's many fascinating markets. Night markets open with the setting of the sun, while the day markets offer locally-made items, as well as clothing, antiques, and other products. The Chiang Mai Night Bazaar also features some of the best street food in Thailand.

Trekking in Northern Thailand

The mountainous forest area around Chiang Mai is perfect for those seeking a trekking adventure. Excursions cater to those who would like a few-hour ramble as well as those looking for longer-lasting, more rigorous adventure.
