Hotel Chain Expands Network in Russia
Marriot International will be opening additional hotels in Moscow next year
International hotel chain Marriot International has revealed that it intends to significantly add to the number of its hotels in Russia. Offering more hotels for both business travellers and tourists to stay, the increased presence of the brand could spell an economic upsurge in the country, with more people wanting to explore what Russia has to offer.
Marriot International already has eleven hotels in Russia, spread throughout Samara, St. Petersburg and Moscow, providing guests with the luxurious services that the chain has become famous for. However, new plans will see a further 25 hotels opened, offering accommodation across the Russian Federation in places such as Ufa, Krasnodar, Irkutsk, and Krasnoyarsk. A Marriot Courtyard hotel will also be opening in Kazan at the start of next year, with additional facilities set to be built in Moscow.
The move could see an increase in demand for flights to Russia, and allow both business travellers and holidaymakers to stay in a world famous and well-regarded hotel brand. With tourists currently wanting to explore more far-flung locations, and business links in Russia continuing to develop, more people from the UK are likely to require access to the country.
With new, high quality, luxurious accommodation soon to be built in Russia by Marriot International, and UK airports such as London Heathrow already offering flights to the country, travellers looking to visit Russia are likely to see more services available to them in the near future.
