Flights with SWISS Offer New Business Class
Business class seats in the new SWISS Airbus A340 use a new air cushion system which enables passengers to alter the level of firmness.
Air operator SWISS recently unveiled its new A340 Airbus at an official naming ceremony, but the firm also highlighted the craft's business class. Recently refurbished to offer an innovative seating design, the A340 HB-JMK will be used for long haul flights from Zurich to provide the perfect connecting flight for business passengers.
During the naming ceremony, where the latest Airbus was revealed as 'Aarau', the Mayor of Zurich, Dr. Marcel Guignard, commented: "We are pleased and immensely proud that this Airbus A340 will now be travelling the world with the Aarau Eagle on its hull."
For business passengers, the new class will set a new benchmark for innovative design and comfort, offering fliers with unparalleled privacy and more space.
Utilising a new air cushion system, the new business class seats allow passengers to alter the level of firmness to suit their own personal taste, while also providing the ability to fold their seat into a 2m long bed. This allows travellers to get a good night's sleep, or alternatively, passengers can make use of the massage function.
The seating has environmental benefits as well, thanks to it being so lightweight. This reduces carbon emissions by an annual amount of more than 2,000 tonnes. The new business class also provides travellers with more shelf space and storage, in addition to offering a range of iPod and USB connections, allowing travellers to not only relax, but work on the go as well.
