Flights with SriLankan Airlines to Offer New Business Class Seating
The airline will commence the upgrades from May 2011
It has been announced by SriLankan Airlines that the airline plans to upgrade its business class cabins to include the latest in seating and entertainment technologies. Flatbed seating and on-demand video and audio options are all set to be included in the new cabin upgrades.
The airline plans to implement the upgrades to its aircraft from May 2011. Those travelling on long haul flights with the company and wanting to indulge in business class will discover an entirely new level of service. Adding new seats to two A340 Airbuses and four A330s, SriLankan Airlines plans on completing all of the upgrades by September 2011.
The upgrades come at a crucial time when tourism to Sri Lanka is noting an increase in demand. With more Brits seeking adventure and travel to unique, far-flung destinations, those wanting to fly in luxury can do so by travelling to their destination in the airline's new stylish and luxurious cabins.
In addition to incorporating flatbed seating into the cabin, the airline also plans on installing a new IMS on-demand audio and video centre. The system works by using standalone units so that, in the event that a fault occurs, only a single unit is affected. This smooth-running of SriLankan Airline's entertainment system will provide business class passengers with an assuredly high quality entertainment network while in-flight.
Offering a range of services from London, including a direct route to Colombo, the upgrades will ensure business class travellers arrive at their destination relaxed and contented, and ready for whatever awaits them.
