Mumbai already offers Darshan tours which are similar to LA's Hollywood tours

While many visitors may have already travelled to India and explored some of its most iconic sights, the experience of Bollywood looks set to become the next big thing to attract British tourists to the country. As the Indian movie scene becomes increasingly mainstream at cinemas and film venues around the world, Bollywood tours could provide UK holidaymakers with the exotic holiday experience that many have been looking for.

Mumbai already offers popular Darshan tours that - similar to the Hollywood tours in LA - drive tourists past the mansions of movie stars. However, with India's new Bollywood tours, visitors not only get to visit the studios where iconic films have been, but also take part in Bollywood classes. Dance workshops are available, and sari draping is also a popular class.

Innovative schemes are also available, such as programmes that offer acting and dancing lessons, where participants are filmed at the end of the tour and presented with a CD of their performances.
