New Flights to Tallinn Revealed
Estonian Air will begin the new service to Tallinn in March 2011
It has been revealed by Estonian Air that it will be increasing the number of flights served between London Gatwick and Tallinn. The Estonian airline revealed that prior to the summer of 2011, it will be doubling the number of flights departing from the popular London airport, providing travellers with far more options when travelling to the historic and culturally rich capital city.
With growing interest in the Estonian city already prompting other airlines to increase flights to the capital city, including Easyjet, Estonian Air will begin hosting the new services from March 27th 2011. Departing on a Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the new additions to the carrier's itinerary will provide far more options to those travelling to Estonia, either for business or pleasure.
The new flights come at a time when tourism has increased significantly in the region. 2011 is an important year for Estonia, as it marks the 20th anniversary of breaking free from the Soviet Union, which took place in 1991. The important historical anniversary also takes place in the same year that Tallinn will host the 2011 European Capital of Culture show. A year-long festival, the city will be hosting events every single day, in addition to a number of exhibitions and special monthly festivals. Already a popular destination, the culture show is likely to further increase tourism for the country. And with new services offering a range of opportunities in time for the summer, Estonia will inevitably receive an influx of new visitors.
