New Flights from Exeter Airport Revealed

Flybe are adding new flights between Exeter and Dusseldorf in 2011

It has been announced that budget airline Flybe are to add a new Exeter service to their portfolio next year. Adding new flights to Dusseldorf to their roster, the airlines new services will allow those in the South West additional travel options for visiting one of Germany's most modern and wealthy cities.

Revealed to begin in 2011, the services to the state capital will commence on the 22nd April, and will continue throughout the summer until the 24th September. Operating every Saturday from Exeter airport, departures will leave at 11.15am and arrive in Germany at 1.55pm. Meanwhile, return flights will leave the bustling and elegant city at 10.10am, arriving back in the UK at 10.50am. And with fares due to start at a very modest £80, the service will be of great interest for those wanting to get away and explore somewhere new.

Talking of the new flights, Flybe's chief commercial officer, Mike Rutter, revealed "The introduction of this new weekly service to Dusseldorf will certainly open up a convenient gateway from the South West to this important Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and should have a large underpin of inbound tourism to assist the South West economies in these hard-pressed times."

With Dusseldorf steeped in history, as well as having a vibrant fashion, advertising, and financial scene, it is an attractive holiday destination for many. Meanwhile, with the city developing a new nightlife hotspot by the harbour to rival that of the Aldstadt, tourists can revel in Dusseldorf both day and night. And with new weekly flights providing access the glorious city, the South West are set to enjoy a great summer of travel.
