Flight Demand to Middle East Set to Soar with Hotspot Boom
Ras Al-Khaimah is an easy drive from Sharjah airport
With London's World Travel Market highlighting several destinations which are likely to prove popular for tourism over the coming years, travellers have become keen to discover just where they may be flying in 2011 and beyond. And whilst many of the top spots included destinations on the other side of the planet, the Middle East is expected to prove quite a lure.
Whilst Dubai already boasts a lot of attention from the British public, travel to the other seven Emirate states is also likely to increase. In particular, Ras Al-Khaimah is expected to thrive, offering an alternative to Dubai. With two beautiful resorts already established, Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Cove Rotana, Ras Al-Khaimah promises a decadent treat. While flights to Ras Al-Khaimah's airport remain sparse, the Emirate is an easy drive from Sharjah airport. Ras Al-Khaimah is a fantastic and at first look a far more relaxed Emirate than its neighbour.
Meanwhile, Turkey's Izmir Coast is also set to soar in popularity, with tourists looking for new Mediterranean destinations to explore. Whilst much of the coast has become overly developed, Izmir's shoreline remains quaint and charming. With a number of small villages, and the sophisticated town of Alacati offering a range of traditional delights, the region is expected to thrive.
2011 is expected to see several new locations around the Mediterranean thrive. With flights to many of these found from British airports, access is easy. And with a desire to explore new locations, British people are set to take to the Middle East in large number.
