New Flights to Marrakech Revealed by British Airways

The new flights to Marrakech will start next year

Airline giant British Airways (BA) has revealed that starting in 2011 it will begin offering a new service to Marrakech. Flying out of London Gatwick, the airline will offer three flights a week, leaving London on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and returning the same night.

With Marrakech becoming a strong holiday destination in the African and Southern Europe market, BA's new services will offer more opportunities to travel to the country and explore all that it has to offer. Morocco is an exotic destination that is growing in popularity, partly due to its range of activities. Whilst individuals can indulge themselves with soaking up the sun on glorious beaches, there is also the opportunity to trek through the mountains, or take in the cultural shopping experiences of the souks.

Speaking of the decision to offer new services from London Gatwick, BA's head of sales and marketing for the UK and Ireland, Richard Tams, said "Unlike the low cost carriers, we offer fantastic all-inclusive fares with no stealth extras. The benefits you get on BA at no extra charge include a generous baggage allowance, drinks and snacks and much more." He added that the city of Marrakech was the ideal base from which to start exploring Morocco, with the region offering fantastic holiday options. And with the flights providing even more options for flying to this popular location, travellers will benefit immensely when the services begin to operate in 2011.
