Flights with Cathay Pacific to Get Makeover
Cathay Pacific will unveil their new cabin designs on December 7th
Cathay Pacific Airways are to unveil a new look for their cabin designs and staff uniforms. The carrier, who flies to a number of global destinations including direct flights to Hong Kong from London Heathrow, will be making the first major revamp since 2006, offering customers an entirely new look.
Hosting an event on Tuesday 7th December, Cathay administration chief secretary, Henry Tang, said that the company would be showing off their "latest product and service innovations." Of great benefit to the company's ongoing passengers, new premium cabin seating is said to be just one major change being made. Premium seating is intended to add another fare option for those travelling on long haul flights. Bridging the gap between economy and business classes, such fares allow for travellers to enjoy a luxurious flight at more affordable prices. And whilst Cathay did make some changes to the fleet cabins only two years ago, the new changes will set them apart from their closest Asian airline competition even more.
Asian airlines in particular are investing large amounts of money into their brand image and services, largely because of increased demand from both tourists and business groups to the region. Those travelling on business fares remain attracted to high quality facilities and services, making fare moderation less important than the high standards offered on aircraft. And with Cathay Pacific continuing to invest largely in their business services, their new look is likely to be welcomed by corporate clients who continue to use their services.
