Flights with Alitalia Offer World's Finest Food
Alitalia provide best onboard cuisine
It has been revealed that readers of Global Traveler (GT) have voted Italian airline Alitalia as having the best onboard cuisine in the world. Introducing new menus earlier in 2010 as part of an update of their services, Alitalia received 'Best Airline Cuisine' after offering food representing culinary specialities of Italy's iconic regions.
Offering the new foods in their Magnifica Class cabins, the new menu was part of an update to offer travellers a luxurious and authentic Italian inspired flight. Menu's rotate every three months, offering regular travellers a variety of options throughout the year. Meanwhile a large variety of wines are also offered, paired with complimentary meals and being carefully selected to show off examples of the nations finest.
Speaking of the award which resulted from a poll of over 25,000 luxury and business travellers, executive vice president of marketing, network and revenue management for Alitalia, Andrea Stolfa, said "We're honoured to win this award. Since implementing our new service in Magnifica Class, we have received high customer satisfaction for the quality of the menus and cuisine. With the new Italian menus we offer our customers a real high quality 'Made in Italy' experience."
A member of the SkyTeam alliance, Alitalia benefits from being allied with other carriers including Delta, Air France, and KLM. And with passengers able to utilise flights from a range of the alliances' members, the latest award will be likely to see demand for luxurious cabins with Alitalia increase hugely.
