St. Lucia Welcomes New Spa
Britons may consider swapping snow for a spa treatment
With the British winter having arrived with a vengeance, many individuals may be looking for ways to enjoy some considerably warmer and sunnier climes. The news that a new spa is to open on St. Lucia is almost certain to persuade British people to swap the UK snow for some Caribbean pampering.
A range of carriers offer flights to St. Lucia from Britain, including American Airlines, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic, all offering passengers easy access to this exotic retreat. The new Smugglers Cove Resort & Spa is located in the North West region of the island, and will open on December 15th. The luxury spa is set in a 45 acre estate which guests can explore between treatments.
The spa has been awarded a respectable four stars for its facilities, which include luxurious treatments and fine dining. There are also land and water based attractions, three ideal wedding venues, and a range of children's programmes to keep all of the family happy. Four gourmet restaurants will allow guests to partake of fantastic cuisine, including seafood, Asian fusion, and Italian options. The resort also provides seven freshwater swimming pools, in addition to water slides, banana boat rides, snorkelling and water skiing.
For those wanting to escape the bitter winter and head to the tropics, islands in the Caribbean are ideal. And with Smugglers Cove Resort & Spa ideal for adults and families, it may be the perfect retreat for the beginning of 2011.
