Manchester Gains New Etihad Lounge

New premium lounge in terminal 1 at Manchester airport

It has been revealed that Manchester airport now hosts a premium lounge from Etihad. Developed by the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, (UAE) passengers using the airline will be able to enjoy ultimate luxury in the Terminal 1 lounge.

Business customers flying with Etihad already experience a luxurious in-flight service. Having opened a premium lounge for high paying guests in 2009 at London Heathrow's Terminal 4, now travellers flying from Manchester will also be able to take advantage of the extra services provided. Along with a fully operational business centre, those flying on Etihad's Pearl Business Class will be able to partake of five star dining and make use of both a family room and a prayer room.

Having taken on the sponsorship of Manchester City UFC in 2009, a mural dedicated to the team will be showcased in the main lounge to show their continued commitment to the team for the next three year's. Talking of the decision to create a new exclusive lounge at Manchester, Etihad's chief commercial officer, Peter Baumgartner, said "Manchester has always been an important market for Etihad and the ties between Manchester and Abu Dhabi have never been stronger." He added that it was very appropriate for their latest lounge to be opened in the home city of their sponsored football team.

For those travelling with Etihad, on services to destinations such as Abu Dhabi or Bangkok, the new lounge will offer a fantastic start to their journey. And with such ground based services, those looking for comfortable and luxurious journeys are more likely to use Etihad than ever.
