New Flights with TAP Offer Portuguese Travel

TAP has announced that it will provide six new European routes in 2011

Portuguese airline TAP has revealed that it will start providing six new European destinations in 2011. Having started with flights to Austria and Greece, the airline will soon follow up with new services to Vienna and Athens.  Later in 2011 TAP will add new flight schedules to Bordeaux, Manchester, Dusseldorf and Dubrovnik.

Making an impressive 17per cent increase to their route network across Europe, the new flights will operate from the international hub of Lisbon. As the nation's three main sources of tourism consist of travellers from Britain, France, and Germany, the new services are unsurprising as the country aims to improve its visitor numbers. TAP already offers a considerable number of services to these three nations, with Germany, Britain, and France presently having 54, 154, and 70 weekly flights respectively.

With the maiden flights on the new routes starting next year, Manchester Airport will benefit from five services per week offering those in the north of England a greater number of travel options when heading to Portugal. An additional flight will also be added to the roster during 2011's summer peak season, providing an extensive array of services for those who want to holiday in Lisbon or the surrounding area. With Mediterranean locations still drawing a great deal of tourism from Britain, Portugal offers a sunny climate, stunning beaches, all with an alternative view of the Atlantic Ocean. And with the new services on offer, travellers will be able to explore the culture and scenery of this popular destination with more ease than ever.
