New Flights with Flybe Offer Service to Western Ireland
Flybe offers new service to Knock Ireland
One of Europe's largest low cost airlines, Flybe, has revealed that it is to add further services to its Edinburgh portfolio in 2011. A key destination that has been added is that of Knock. Flights to Knock will allow travellers from Scotland access to the destination and to the wider area of Western Ireland for the first time.
With no Scottish services currently offering such a route from any airport in the region, Flybe will be providing an entirely brand new flight for those wishing to make use of it. Making its inaugural flight on April 29th the airline will provide three weekly flights from Edinburgh airport giving travellers a range of flights to choose from. Leaving the Scottish airport on Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays at 11am, 11am, and 2.05pm respectively, the services will remain low in price, allowing inexpensive access to the Irish town. Meanwhile, return flights to Scotland from Knock will depart at 12.40pm on both Tuesdays and Thursdays, while the Sunday departure time will be 3.45pm.
The move will be extremely useful for both business and holiday travellers who need easy routes to Ireland. With the route the first of its kind in Scotland it provides both markets with an entirely new option when flying. With a flight time of only one and a quarter hours, passengers will be able to enjoy a fast and cheap flight before landing in one of Ireland's quaintest towns.
