British Airways Expanding First Class into Asian Market
British Airways are expanding their First Class cabins into Asian routes
It has been revealed by British Airways (BA) that 2011 will herald a significant expansion of their new First Class cabins into major Asian-Pacific routes. With the company overhauling the fleet to offer the latest in luxury travel, those travelling to Asia and Australia will now be able to make use of the new services and fly in complete comfort.
Having spent approximately £100m on its new First Class product, BA will be extending the number of planes and flights that the services are available on. Said to offer an intimate and private jet like experience, the cabins have even been recommended by British actress Rachel Weisz, who said "For style, stellar service and complete luxury, it doesn't get better than British Airways' new First cabin."
At the design's heart is a brand new bed structure which uses an "intelligent" mattress, giving passengers ultimate control over their seat's position. Including pneumatic panels which will adjust to a flyers head and lumbar positions, these beds offer the best comfort possible when flying and adding into the mix, Egyptian cotton bed linen, passengers can get a fantastic night's sleep. Meanwhile, electronic blinds and on-board lighting change according to the time, whilst each First Class cabin has a personal wardrobe, 15" in-flight media screen, and a dining table which also converts to a writing desk.
With BA pushing the boundaries of the services that they provide, head of customer experience, Mark Hassell, said "Every feature has been carefully considered and researched to ensure we are giving our customers what they want." And with services expanding to destinations such as Singapore and Bangkok, travellers can enjoy the ultimate experience with BA.
