British Airways Adds More New First Class Cabins to Australian Routes
British Airways have introduced more First Class Cabins on their Australian routes
After British Airways (BA) received high praise for the installation of its new First class cabin on flights to the Middle East and North America, they have revealed that they are continuing to extend the service onto Australian bound routes. Whilst it remains a lottery whether travellers flying via Bangkok or Singapore can access the latest facilities, increased incorporation of the new cabin style will mean that more high-end travellers will be able to enjoy the luxurious service than ever before.
BA first revealed that they were to make significant 2011 expansion of their latest cabin in January. The new cabins offer a range of great additions including wardrobes, electronic window blinds, and carefully positioned tables for maximum usage. However, with less than 25 per cent of the fleet currently having the service, First class customers have to be lucky to enjoy such an experience.
'Australian Business Traveller' has shed some light on the statistics however, offering a few tips to help customers increase their luck. Using service codes and plane registrations it was found that those travelling to Sydney via Singapore on a Boeing 777, whether on BA or through Qantas, are more likely to receive the upgrade. For those who prefer the quieter cabins of Boeing 747's, routes via Bangkok BA9/10 could see a higher likelihood of finding the new First class services.
BA upgrades are continuing to be rolled out across the fleet but currently the firm has yet to set a deadline for completion of the work. However for those who may be impatient to try out the new and improved cabin, Australian Business Traveller's helpful tips could improve travellers' chances.
