Flight Demand to Madeira to Rise as Holiday Homes Increase
Flights to Madeira are available from a number of U.K Airports
For those wanting to buy holiday homes the large proportion of interest has remained in ever popular Spain, with an increasing market in Eastern Europe. However, it has been revealed that Madeira is to become a holiday hotspot, with the property market in particular looking beneficial for British sun seekers.
Whilst Madeira has not been able to avoid the recent financial crisis, it has managed to recover well, especially when compared with mainland Portugal. Tourism remains strong on the island, in particular the capital city of Funchal. Meanwhile, with a great range of cheap flights available from airports across the country, including Glasgow, Stansted and Gatwick, British travellers wanting to escape to their holiday home can do so relatively easily.
Madeira is particularly loved for its great climate which rarely falls below a very comfortable 17°C. Famous for the popular Madeira cake, it also offers visitors the chance to enjoy beautiful landscapes filled with colourful flora, and walks through lush valleys, ancient forests, and carefully terraced hillsides. With the very apt name 'Pearl of the Atlantic' it remains an attractive holiday option to many people.
Until now however it has remained unattractive for those wanting holiday homes abroad. But, with renewed interest in the area and a number of companies now specifically targeting foreign markets for owners, Madeira's holiday home market is set to rocket. And with British sun worshippers buying properties in the country, demand and access to flights is set to soar.
