New Air Berlin Flights Begin from Gatwick
New Air Berlin flights begin from Gatwick
After it was revealed last year that Air Berlin were to offer new routes from London Gatwick, the company's inaugural flights to Hanover and Nuremburg have taken place. Offering customers additional routes for travelling to Germany, the first services began on February 7th, with Gatwick receiving the maiden flights in the early morning.
In an attempt to build a flourishing relationship between the airline and the airport, the new German flights have expanded the number of options for those travelling to the Eurozone's largest economy. Both popular for business and leisure, Germany's many cities are a great draw and as such have a great network of routes in place. Speaking of the new services the chief executive of Gatwick Airport, Steward Wingate, explained "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Air Berlin to Gatwick and offer our passengers new routes into two of Germany's great cities."
Each of the two new routes offers direct flights to both Hanover and Nuremburg twice a day, perfect for those who may be commuting back and forth on business. Meanwhile, Hanover will have one Saturday flight, whilst Nuremburg will welcome one flight on both Saturdays and Sundays. Germany offers an extensive network of routes and connections to international locations, and as such is a popular travel hub for British passengers. With the latest additions to Gatwick Airport improving communications, Germany looks set to become even easier to travel to and from.
